Like us they are family run company that prides themselves on the overall quality of their boards and service. That is why we have no hesitation recommending them to any of our clients.

SAFETY

BE SAFE HAVE FUN

Safety is always our number 1 priority while on the water. This come in many different forms. First and for most the coaches have the most up-to-date and relevant qualifications to lead on the water, combined with First Aid, FRST,  Safeguarding and DBS checked.

Yes, all of the above are vitally important to the safeguarding of our clients and essential, but so is the experience. Fish has been a teacher, instructor, coach and participant for over 25 years and has vast range of experience in all situations ensuring you safety at all times.

By providing high quality equipment we can ensure our clients are safe on the water.  Buoyancy aids are a personal choice however we always recommend you wear one, and anyone under the age of 18 this is mandatory.

Equipment / Safety / COVID: Welcome

COACHING WITH COVID

Following the recent Coronavirus (Covid-19) government announcement regarding new lockdown measures, British Canoeing has today received confirmation that recreational paddling and exercise on the waterways in England is permitted.

To ensure the safety of our team and you will be running as per the guidelines below.

Recreational paddling is permitted within the government measures so long as you are:

  • on your own

  • with the people you live with (your household)

  • your support bubble

  • on your own and with one person from another household – this could be a coach for 1:1 coaching

Outdoor exercise limits - There is no limit on the amount of time spent exercising outdoors, or the amount of times per day you can exercise outdoors.

Travel - You can still travel to exercise outdoors, but where possible we would strongly advise paddlers to paddle locally.

Coaching - 1:1 coaching/personal training sessions can take place in a public outdoor space, so long as social distancing is maintained.
